وَالضُّحٰىۙ‏
demi matahari naik
By the morning brightness

waḍ-ḍuḥā

Demi waktu duha (ketika matahari naik sepenggalan),

Demi waktu matahari sepenggalahan naik,

শপথ পূর্বাহ্নের,

誓以上午,

Bei der Morgenhelle

En wat de bedelaar betreft: wijs hem niet af.

By the morning sunlight,

¡Por la mañana!

Par la première clarté du jour !

(שבועה) באמצע הבוקר,

Per la luce del mattino,

朝(の輝き)において,

아침빛을 두고 맹세코

Demi waktu dhuha,

سوگند به آغاز روز،

Pela plena luz matinal!

Клянусь утром!

VID DET klara morgonljuset

Sumpa man sa kaliwanagan [ng umaga],

(முற்)பகலின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

ขอสาบานด้วยเวลาสาย

Kuşluk vaktine and olsun;

چاشگاھ ۋاقتى بىلەن قەسەمكى،

وَالَّيۡلِ
dan malam
And the night
اِذَا
apabila
when
سَجٰىۙ‏
telah sunyi
it covers with darkness
٢

wal-laili iżā sajā

dan demi malam apabila telah sunyi,

dan demi malam apabila telah sunyi,

শপথ রাত্রির যখন তা গভীর হয়,

誓以黑夜,当其寂静的时候,

und der Nacht, wenn sie (alles) umhüllt!

En wat de gunsten van jouw Heer betreft: spreek daarover!

and the night when it falls still!

¡Por la noche cuando reina la calma!

Par la nuit quand elle voile tout !

ובלילה המאפיל.

per la notte quando si addensa:

静寂な夜において(誓う)。

고요해졌을 때의 밤을 두고 맹세코

Dan malam apabila ia sunyi-sepi –

و سوگند به شب، هنگامی‌ که آرام گیرد

E pela noite, quando serena!

Клянусь ночью, когда она успокаивается (или покрывается мраком)!

och vid natten, när dess mörker tätnar!

sumpa man sa gabi kapag lumukob ito;

இரவின் மீது சத்தியமாக! அது நிசப்தமாகும்போது,

และด้วยเวลากลางคืนเมื่อมันมืด และสงัดเงียบ

Sükun erdiği zaman geceye and olsun ki,

قاراڭغۇلۇقى (ئەتراپنى قاپلىغان) چاغدىكى كېچە بىلەن قەسەمكى،

Tuhanmu
your Lord
وَمَا
dan tidak
and not
قَلٰىؕ‏

He is displeased

mā wadda’aka rabbuka wa mā qalā

Tuhanmu tidak meninggalkan engkau (Muhammad) dan tidak (pula) membencimu,

Tuhan-mu tiada meninggalkan kamu dan tiada (pula) benci kepadamu,

আপনার পালনকর্তা আপনাকে ত্যাগ করেনি এবং আপনার প্রতি বিরূপও হননি।

你的主没有弃绝你,也没有怨恨你;

Dein Herr hat sich weder von dir verabschiedet noch haßt Er (dich).

Hebben Wij niet jouw borst verruimd (O Mohammed)?

Your Lord O Prophet has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful of you.

Tu Señor no te ha abonadonado ni aborrecido

Ton Seigneur ne t’a point délaissé, ni ne t’a haï.

כי ריבונך לא זנח אותך, ולא סלד ממך,

il tuo Signore non ti ha abbandonato e non ti disprezza 1

主は,あなたを見捨てられず,憎まれた訳でもない。

그대의 주님께서는 그대를 버려 두지도 혐오하지도 않으시노라.

(Bahawa) Tuhanmu (wahai Muhammad) tidak meninggalkanmu, dan Ia tidak benci (kepadamu, sebagaimana yang dituduh oleh kaum musyrik).

[که] پروردگارت تو را وانگذاشته و [بر تو] خشم نگرفته است.

Teu Senhor não te abandonou nem te detestou.

Не покинул тебя твой Господь и не возненавидел.

Din Herre har inte övergett dig och du har inte väckt Hans missnöje.

hindi namaalam sa iyo ang Panginoon mo at hindi Siya nasuklam.

(நபியே!) உம் இறைவன் உம்மை விட்டு (விலகி) விடவில்லை; இன்னும் (உம்மை) வெறுக்கவில்லை.

พระเจ้าของเจ้ามิได้ทรงทอดทิ้งเจ้า และมิได้ทรงโกรธเคืองเจ้า

Rabbin seni ne bıraktı ve ne de sana darıldı.

(ئى مۇھەممەد!) پەرۋەردىگارىڭ سېنى تاشلىۋەتكىنىمۇ يوق، يامان كۆرۈپ قالغىنىمۇ يوق.

وَلَـلۡاٰخِرَةُ
dan sungguh kesudahan/akhirat
And surely the Hereafter
خَيۡرٌ
lebih baik
(is) better
لَّكَ
bagimu
for you
مِنَ
dari pada
than
الۡاُوۡلٰىؕ‏
permulaan/dunia
the first
٤

wa lal-ākhiratu khairul laka minal-ụlā

dan sungguh, yang kemudian itu lebih baik bagimu daripada yang permulaan.

dan sesungguhnya akhir itu lebih baik bagimu dari permulaan.

আপনার জন্যে পরকাল ইহকাল অপেক্ষা শ্রেয়।

后世于你,确比今世更好;

Und das Jenseits ist wahrlich besser für dich als das Diesseits.

En Wij hebben jouw last van je weggenomen.

And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one.

Sí, la otra vida será mejor para ti que ésta.

Le monde dernier est pour toi meilleur que le premier.1

וחיי העולם הבא, אכן, עדיפים לך מחיי העולם הזה.

e per te l’altra vita sarà migliore della precedente.

本当に来世(将来)は,あなたにとって現世(現在)より,もっと良いのである。

실로 그대에겐 내세가 현세보다 더 좋으며

Dan sesungguhnya kesudahan keaadaanmu adalah lebih baik bagimu daripada permulaannya.

و مسلماً آخرت برای تو از دنیا بهتر است.

E, em verdade, a Derradeira Vida te é melhor que a primeira.

Воистину, будущее для тебя лучше, чем настоящее.

Det liv som ligger framför dig skall förvisso bli lättare än det som hittills varit!

Talagang ang Kabilang-buhay ay higit na mabuti para sa iyo kaysa sa Unang-buhay.

இம்மையைவிட மறுமைதான் உமக்கு மிகச் சிறந்தது.

และแน่นอนเบื้องปลายเป็นการดียิ่งแก่เจ้ากว่าเบื้องต้น

Doğrusu ahiret senin için dünyadan daha hayırlıdır.

ساڭا ئاخىرەت ئەلۋەتتە دۇنيادىن ياخشىدۇر،

وَلَسَوۡفَ
dan sungguh kelak
And soon
يُعۡطِيۡكَ
memberikan kepadamu
will give you
رَبُّكَ
Tuhanmu
your Lord
فَتَرۡضٰىؕ‏
maka kamu jadi puas
then you will be satisfied
٥

wa lasaufa yu’ṭīka rabbuka fa tarḍā

Dan sungguh, kelak Tuhanmu pasti memberikan karunia-Nya kepadamu, sehingga engkau menjadi puas.

Dan kelak Tuhan-mu pasti memberikan karunia-Nya kepadamu, lalu (hati) kamu menjadi puas.

আপনার পালনকর্তা সত্বরই আপনাকে দান করবেন, অতঃপর আপনি সন্তুষ্ট হবেন।

你的主将来必赏赐你,以至你喜悦。

Und dein Herr wird dir wahrlich geben, und dann wirst du zufrieden sein.

Die jouw rug belastte.

And surely your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased.

Tu Señor te dará y quedarás satisfecho.

Ton Seigneur te donnera certes ce dont tu seras satisfait.

וישפיע לך ריבונך מחסדיו עד שתחוש סיפוק.

Il tuo Signore ti darà [in abbondanza] e ne sarai soddisfatto 1.

やがて主はあなたの満足するものを御授けになる。

정녕코 그대의 주님께서 그대에게 베푸실 것이니 그대는 만족할 것이라.

Dan sesungguhnya Tuhanmu akan memberikanmu (kejayaan dan kebahagiaan di dunia dan di akhirat) sehingga engkau reda – berpuas hati.

و به زودی پروردگارت به تو [و امت تو آنقدر] عطا خواهد کرد که راضی گردی.

E, em verdade, teu Senhor dar-te-á graças, e disso te agradarás.

Господь твой непременно одарит тебя, и ты будешь удовлетворен.

Och din Herre skall skänka dig [Sitt goda i överflöd] och du skall bli helt nöjd.

Talagang magbibigay sa iyo ang Panginoon mo kaya malulugod ka.

திட்டமாக, உம் இறைவன் (தன் அருளை) உமக்குக் கொடுப்பான். ஆகவே, நீர் திருப்தியடைவீர்.

และความแน่นอนพระเจ้าของเจ้าจะให้แก่เจ้าจนกว่าจะพอใจ

Rabbin şüphesiz sana verecek ve sen de hoşnut olacaksın.

پەرۋەردىگارىڭ ساڭا (ساۋاب، ھۆرمەت ۋە شاپائەت قاتارلىقلارنى) ئاتا قىلىدۇ، سەن مەمنۇن بولىسەن.

اَلَمۡ
apakah tidak/bukanlah
Did not
يَجِدۡكَ
Dia mendapatimu
He find you
يَتِيۡمًا
seorang yatim
an orphan
فَاٰوٰى‏
lalu Dia melindungi
and give shelter
٦

a lam yajidka yatīman fa āwā

Bukankah Dia mendapatimu sebagai seorang yatim, lalu Dia melindungi(mu).

Bukankah Dia mendapatimu sebagai seorang yatim, lalu Dia melindungimu.

তিনি কি আপনাকে এতীমরূপে পাননি? অতঃপর তিনি আশ্রয় দিয়েছেন।

难道他没有发现你孤苦伶仃,而使你有所归宿?

Hat Er dich nicht als Waise gefunden und (dir) dann Zuflucht verschafft

En Wij hebben jouw roem verhoogd.

Did He not find you as an orphan then sheltered you?

¿No te encontró huérfano y te recogió?

Ne t’a-t-Il pas trouvé orphelin, et Il t’a alors donné asile ?

הלא היית יתום ונתן לך מחסה?

Non ti ha trovato orfano e ti ha dato rifugio1?

かれは孤児のあなたを見付けられ,庇護なされたではないか。

그분께서 그대가 고아임을 발견하고 감싸 주지 않으셨던가?

Bukankah dia mendapati engkau yatim piatu, lalu la memberikan perlindungan?

آیا تو را یتیم نیافت، و پناه داد؟

Não te encontrou órfão e te abrigou?

Разве Он не нашел тебя сиротой и не дал тебе приют?

Fann Han dig inte faderlös och gav dig ett hem?

Hindi ba nakatagpo Siya sa iyo na isang ulila kaya kumanlong Siya sa iyo?

உம்மை அநாதையாக அவன் காணவில்லையா? ஆகவே, (உம்மை) அவன் ஆதரித்தான்.

พระองค์มิได้ทรงพบเจ้าเป็นกำพร้าแล้วทรงให้ที่พึ่งดอกหรือ

Seni öksüz bulup da barındırmadı mı?

ئۇ سېنى يېتىم بىلىپ پاناھ بەرمىدىمۇ؟

وَوَجَدَكَ
dan Dia mendapatimu
And He found you
ضَآ
sesat/bingung
lost
لًّا فَهَدٰى‏
lalu Dia memberi petunjuk
so He guided
٧

wa wajadaka ḍāllan fa hadā

Dan Dia mendapatimu sebagai seorang yang bingung, lalu Dia memberikan petunjuk.

Dan Dia mendapatimu sebagai seorang yang bingung, lalu Dia memberikan petunjuk.

তিনি আপনাকে পেয়েছেন পথহারা, অতঃপর পথপ্রদর্শন করেছেন।

他曾发现你徘徊歧途,而把你引入正路;

und dich irregehend gefunden und dann rechtgeleitet

Voorwaar, zo komt met de moeilijkeid de verlichting.

Did He not find you unguided then guided you?

¿No te encontró extraviado y te dirigió?

Ne t’a-t-Il pas trouvé égaré, et Il t’a alors guidé ?

והלא חיפשת את הצדק, והדריכך אליה?

Non ti ha trovato smarrito e ti ha dato la guida?

かれはさ迷っていたあなたを見付けて,導きを与え。

그리고 그분께서는 그대가 방황하는 자임을 발견하고 인도해 주셨고

Dan didapatiNya engkau mencari-cari (jalan yang benar), lalu Ia memberikan hidayah petunjuk (dengan wahyu – Al-Quran)?

و تو را [راه‌نایافته و] سرگشته یافت، و هدایت کرد.

E não te encontrou descaminhado e te guiou?

Он нашел тебя заблудшим и повел прямым путем.

Och såg Han dig inte vilsen och vägledde dig

Nakatagpo Siya sa iyo na isang nalilingat kaya nagpatnubay Siya.

உம்மை வழி அறியாதவராகக் கண்டான். ஆகவே, அவன் (உம்மை) நேர்வழி செலுத்தினான்.

และทรงพบเจ้าระเหเร่ร่อน แล้วก็ทรงชี้แนะทาง (แก่เจ้า) ดอกหรือ

Seni şaşırmış bulup, doğru yola eriştirmedi mi?

قايمۇققان بىلىپ ھىدايەت قىلمىدىمۇ؟

وَوَجَدَكَ
dan Dia mendapatimu
And He found you
عَآٮِٕلًا
miskin/kekurangan
in need
فَاَغۡنٰىؕ‏
lalu Dia memberi kecukupan
so He made self-sufficient
٨

wa wajadaka ‘ā`ilan fa agnā

Dan Dia mendapatimu sebagai seorang yang kekurangan, lalu Dia memberikan kecukupan.

Dan Dia mendapatimu sebagai seorang yang kekurangan, lalu Dia memberikan kecukupan.

তিনি আপনাকে পেয়েছেন নিঃস্ব, অতঃপর অভাবমুক্ত করেছেন।

他发现你家境寒苦,而使你衣食丰足。

und dich arm gefunden und dann reich gemacht?

Voorwaar, met de moeilijkheid komt de verlichting.

And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?

¿No te encontró pobre y te enriqueció?

Ne t’a-t-Il pas trouvé pauvre, et Il t’a alors enrichi ?

והלא היית דל, והפכך עשיר?

Non ti ha trovato povero e ti ha arricchito1?

また貧しいあなたを見付けて,裕福になされたではないか。

그대가 궁함을 발견하고 충족시켜 주셨노라.

Dan didapatiNya engkau miskin, lalu Ia memberikan kekayaan?

و تو را فقیر یافت، و بی‌نیاز نمود.

E não te encontrou infortunado e te enriqueceu?

Он нашел тебя бедным и обогатил.

Och såg Han dig inte lida nöd och skänkte dig allt vad du behövde

Nakatagpo Siya sa iyo na isang naghihikahos kaya nagpasapat Siya.

அவன் உம்மை வறியவராகக் கண்டான். ஆகவே, (அவன் உம்மை) செல்வந்தராக்கினான்.

และทรงพบเจ้าเป็นผู้ขัดสน แล้วให้มั่งคั่ง (แก่) เจ้าดอกหรือ

Seni fakir bulup zenginleştirmedi mi?

سېنى يوقسۇز بىلىپ (كىشىلەردىن) بىھاجەت قىلمىدىمۇ؟

فَاَمَّا
maka adapun
So as for
الۡيَتِيۡمَ
anak yatim
the orphan
فَلَا
maka jangan
then (do) not
تَقۡهَرۡؕ‏
kamu paksa/bersikap bengis
oppress
٩

fa ammal-yatīma fa lā taq-har

Maka terhadap anak yatim janganlah engkau berlaku sewenang-wenang.

Adapun terhadap anak yatim, maka janganlah kamu berlaku sewenang-wenang.

সুতরাং আপনি এতীমের প্রতি কঠোর হবেন না;

至于孤儿,你不要压迫他;

Was nun die Waise angeht, so unterjoche (sie) nicht,

Wanneer jij dan een taak volbracht hebt, streef dan (verder).

So do not oppress the orphan,

En cuanto al huérfano, ¡no le oprimas!

Quant à l’orphelin, ne le persécute point.

לכן, אל תקפח את היתום,

Dunque non opprimere l’orfano,

だから孤児を虐げてはならない。

그러니 그대는 고아에 관하여는 윽박지르지 말고

Oleh itu, adapun anak yatim maka janganlah engkau berlaku kasar terhadapnya,

پس [تو نیز] یتیم را میازار،

Então, quanto ao órfão, não o oprimas

Посему не притесняй сироту!

Var därför inte hård mot den faderlöse

Kaya tungkol naman sa ulila ay huwag kang maniil.

ஆக, அநாதைக்கு அநீதி செய்யாதீர்!

ดังนั้นส่วนเด็กกำพร้าเจ้าอย่าข่มขี่

Öyleyse sakın öksüze kötü muamele etme;

يېتىمنى خارلىما.

وَاَمَّا
dan adapun
And as for
السَّآٮِٕلَ
orang minta-minta
one who asks
فَلَا
maka jangan
then (do) not
تَنۡهَرۡؕ‏
kamu menghardik
repel
١٠

wa ammas-sā`ila fa lā tan-har

Dan terhadap orang yang meminta-minta, janganlah engkau menghardik(nya).

Dan terhadap orang yang minta-minta, janganlah kamu menghardiknya.

সওয়ালকারীকে ধমক দেবেন না।

至于求助者,你不要呵斥他,

und was den Bettler angeht, so fahre (ihn) nicht an,

En richt jouw verlangen tot jouw Heer.

nor repulse the beggar.1

Y en cuanto al mendigo, ¡no le rechaces!

Quant au mendiant, ne le malmène point.

ואל תדחה מעליך את מבקש הנדבה,

non respingere il mendicante,

請う者を揆ね付けてはならない。

구걸하는 자에 관하여는 질책하지 말며

Adapun orang yang meminta (bantuan pimpinan) maka janganlah engkau tengking herdik;

و [مستمندِ] نیازخواه را مران [و با او خشونت مکن]،

E, quanto ao mendigo, não o maltrates.

И не гони просящего!

och stöt inte bort tiggaren med barska ord.

Tungkol naman sa nanghihingi ay huwag kang magtaboy.

ஆக, யாசகரைக் கடிந்து கொள்ளாதீர்!

และส่วนผู้เอ่ยขอนั้น เจ้าอย่าตวาดขับไล่

Ve sakın bir şey isteyeni azarlama;

سائىلغا قوپاللىق قىلما.

وَاَمَّا
dan adapun
But as for
بِنِعۡمَةِ
dengan/terhadap nikmat
(the) Favor
رَبِّكَ
Tuhanmu
(of) your Lord
فَحَدِّثۡ‏
maka hendaklah kamu ceritakan
narrate

wa ammā bini’mati rabbika fa ḥaddiṡ

Dan terhadap nikmat Tuhanmu, hendaklah engkau nyatakan (dengan bersyukur).

Dan terhadap nikmat Tuhan-mu, maka hendaklah kamu menyebut-nyebutnya (dengan bersyukur).

এবং আপনার পালনকর্তার নেয়ামতের কথা প্রকাশ করুন।

至于你的主所赐你的恩典呢,你应当宣示它。

und was die Gunst deines Herrn angeht, so erzähle (davon).

Bij de vijg en de olijf.

And proclaim the blessings of your Lord.

Y en cuanto a la gracia de tu Señor, ¡publícala!

Et quant aux bienfaits de ton Seigneur, proclame-les tout haut !

אך, אודות שפע ריבונך כלפיך הרבה לספר

e proclama la grazia del tuo Signore1. 2Questa sura scese su Muhammad (pace e benedizioni su di lui) dopo una lunga interruzione della rivelazione, durante la quale il Profeta dovette subire il dileggio dei miscredenti e lo scherno dei suoi peggiori nemici. La moglie di suo zio Abù Lahab lo scherniva dicendogli: «Il tuo padrone ti ha abbandonato» (Tabarì xxx, 229). 3II versetto allude agli immensi favori che Allah (gloria a Lui l’Altissimo) riverserà nel Giorno della Resurrezione sul Suo Inviato Muhammad (pace e benedizioni su di lui) e gli consentirà di intercedere per la comunità dei musulmani. 4Abdallah ibn Abdalmuttalib, padre dell’Inviato di Allah (pace e benedizioni su di lui), morì quando egli era ancora nel grembo materno e sua madre Amina pochi anni dopo. Muhammad rimase poi orfano della sua tribù quando i Quraysh condannarono il suo clan all’ostracismo, e ancora fu orfano della sua stessa famiglia quando, dopo la morte del suo protettore lo zio Abù Talib, l’altro fratello di suo padre, Abù Lahab suo nemico giurato, divenne il capo del clan dei Banì Hashìm. In questa triste condizione Allah (gloria a Lui l’Altissimo) gli concesse un asilo sicuro in quella Yatrib che sarebbe diventata Medinatu-an-Naby al Munawwara (la città del Profeta, l’illuminata). 5La ricchezza di cui parla il versetto è di tipo eminentemente spirituale. In tutta la sua vita terrena l’Inviato di Allah (pace e benedizioni su di lui) non fu mai ricco e tutta la sua famiglia visse in un clima di grande austerità. 6La grazia più grande che Allah (gloria a Lui l’Altissimo) ha dato al suo Inviato (pace e benedizioni su di lui) è stata il Corano e la profezia e questo ben spiega che cosa debba riferire Muhammad.

あなたの主の恩恵を宣べ伝えるがいい。

그대 주님의 은총에 관하여는 이야기하라.

Adapun nikmat Tuhanmu, maka hendaklah engkau sebut-sebutkan (dan zahirkan) sebagai bersyukur kepadaNya.

و نعمت‌های پروردگارت را بازگو کن [و سپاس گزار].

E, quanto à graça de teu Senhor, proclama-a.

И возвещай о милости своего Господа.

Men berätta [för alla] om din Herres välgärningar!

Tungkol naman sa kaugnay sa biyaya ng Panginoon mo ay magsaysay ka.

ஆக, உம் இறைவனின் அருளை (பிறமக்களுக்கு) அறிவிப்பீராக!

และส่วนความโปรดปรานแห่งพระเจ้าของเจ้านั้นเจ้าจงแสดงออก

Yalnızca Rabbinin nimetini anlat.

پەرۋەردىگارىڭنىڭ (ساڭا بەرگەن) نېمىتىنى (كىشىلەرگە) سۆزلەپ بەرگىن (چۈنكى نېمەتنى سۆزلەپ بەرگەنلىك نېمەتكە شۈكۈر قىلغانلىق بولىدۇ).

Name


The Surah takes its name Ad-Duha from the very first word.


Period of Revelation


Its subject matter clearly indicates that it belongs to the earliest period at Makkah. Traditions also show that the revelations were suspended for a time, which caused the Holy Prophet (upon whom be Allah’s peace) to be deeply distressed and grieved. On this account he felt very anxious that perhaps he had committed some error because of which his Lord had become angry with him and had forsaken him. Thereupon he was given the consolation that revelation had not been stopped because of some displeasure but this was necessitated by the same expediency as underlies the peace and stillness of the night after the bright day, as if to say: “If you had continuously been exposed to the intensely bright light of Revelation (Wahi) your nerves could not have endured it. Therefore, an interval was given in order to afford you peace and tranquility.” This state was experienced by the Holy Prophet in the initial stage of the Prophethood when he was not yet accustomed to hear the
intensity of Revelation. On this basis, observance of a pause in between was necessary. This we have already explained in the introduction to Surah Al Muddaththir; and in E. N. 5 of Surah Al-Muzzammil also we have explained what great burden of the coming down of Revelation he had to bear. Later, when the Holy Prophet developed the power to bear this burden, there was no longer any need for long gaps.


Theme and Subject Matter


Its theme is to console the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) and its object to remove his anxiety and distress, which he had been caused by the suspension of Revelation. First of all, swearing an oath by the bright morning and the stillness of night, he has been reassured, so as to say: “Your Lord has not at all forsaken you, nor is he displeased with you.” Then, he has been given the good news that the hardships that he was experiencing in the initial stage of his mission, would not last long, for every later period of life for him would be better than the former period, and before long Allah would bless him so abundantly that he would be well pleased. This is one of the express prophecies of the Quran, which proved literally true, afterwards, whereas when this prophecy was made there seemed not to be the remotest chance that the helpless and powerless man who had come out to wage a war against the ignorance and paganism of the entire nation, would ever achieve such wonderful
success.


Then, addressing His Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) Allah says:”O My dear Prophet, what has caused you the anxiety and distress that your Lord has forsaken you, and that We are displeased with you? Whereas the fact is that We have been good to you with kindness after kindness ever since the day of your birth. You were born an orphan, We made the best arrangement for your upbringing and care: you were unaware of the Way, We showed you the Way; you were indigent, We made you rich. All this shows that you have been favored by Us from the very beginning and Our grace and bounty has been constantly focused on you.”Here, one should also keep in view vv. 37-42 of Surah Ta Ha, where Allah, while sending the Prophet Moses to confront a tyrant like Pharaoh, encouraged and consoled him, saying: “We have been looking after you with kindness ever since your birth; therefore, you should be satisfied that you will not be left alone in this dreadful mission. Our bounty will constantly be
with you.”


In conclusion, Allah has instructed His Prophet (upon whom be peace) telling him how he should treat the creatures of God to repay for the favors He has done him and how he should render thanks for the blessings He has bestowed on him.
